Reagan Vs. Obama - Social Economics 101

Remember the theme song to the '70s TV sitcom All in The Family? Well, I updated it for 2012:
Boy, the way Van Halen played
Songs that made the hit parade
Guys like us we had it made
Those were the days
And you knew who you were then
Long, long hair - and some were men!
Mister, we could use a man like Ronald Reagan again
Everybody pulled his weight
Didn't need no welfare state
Gee, our old LeMans ran great
Those were the days
In the TV show, the writers used all the tired old stereotypes to paint conservative Archie Bunker as an overbearing bigot, and Michael Stivic (Meathead) as the hip, "smart" progressive. Entertaining nonsense, it was. Great propaganda for the illiberal control freaks.

How does all this relate to the title? Click "Mister, we could use a man like Ronald Reagan again" to find out.
