ObamaCare: Success Beyond Their Wildest Dreams

I keep seeing reports and comments that ObamaCare has failed. It has not failed. It is succeeding beyond their wildest dreams. The only people who believe it has failed are the people who believe ObamaCare was intended to make health care more affordable. That was never the goal. The objective was Cloward-Piven.

The only risk now is that ObamaCare succeeds so effectively that it causes blow-back to the extent that Democrats are adversely affected in the next election.

It looks like some Democrat politicians have too little faith in their Messiah, or place their own selfish job security above the objective of the collective.

How Conveeenient!

http://hopenchangecartoons.blogspot.com/
General Petraeus' extramarital affair was discovered just in time to prevent his testimony over the Benghazi affair! How long have TheRegime™ been sitting on that information? Is this a great country or what? Well... I'm starting to have my doubts. I don't condone the General's dalliances, and this just goes to show that if you don't keep your nose (and other body parts) clean, it can severely compromise your effectiveness (be it good cop or bad cop).

Valerie Jarret, Obama’s Brain

“After we win this election, it’s our turn. Payback time. Everyone not with us is against us and they better be ready because we don’t forget. The ones who helped us will be rewarded; the ones who opposed us will get what they deserve. There is going to be hell to pay. Congress won’t be a problem for us this time. No election to worry about after this is over and we have two judges ready to go.”

I hope Barack Obama fails. Period. I don't want America to fail, which is why Barack Obama must fail. Valerie Jarret articulated his mission. She is the brains behind the Obama regime, just as Karl Rove was purported to be the brains behind the GW Bush regime. The difference is, I do not think Karl Rove ever made any statement like this one.

Jarret's words are not the words of a benevolent, principled, constitutionally limited representative republic. They are the words of a tyrannical and oppressive dictator. Echoing Jarret's sentiment, during the campaign Obama said, "voting is the best revenge". The liberty-minded had better gird their loins, and anyone who needs to survive financially (that's all of us not on government entitlements) had better get into hunker-down mode, because our own government is conducting an all-out war on us.

Barack Obama's first "pants on fire moment" was at his first inauguration, when he swore to uphold and defend The Constitution of the United States. A majority of American voters evidently think he should reprise that moment in January 2013. Folks, The Constitution can't uphold and defend itself. The best defense is a good offense.

It's up to us to sell the principles of liberty and freedom to the voters. I think it's an easier sell than the legalized theft that is socialism. We've already lost two or three generations, so it's time to get busy!

For Sale: Used Farm Equipment

From an email circulating on the Internet (parody of Craig's List):

Fifty year old manure spreader - $1 ( Washington , D.C. )

Date: 2012-02-14, 10:21AM EST

Reply to: pdjfc-2834218719@sale.craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

Fifty-year old manure spreader. Not sure of brand. Said to have been produced in Kenya . Used for a few years in Indonesia before being smuggled into the US via Hawaii . Of questionable pedigree. Does not appear to have ever been worked very hard. Apparently it was pampered by various people over the years. It doesn't work very often, but when it does it can really spread the manure and sling it for amazing distances. I am hoping to retire this manure spreader next November. But I really don't want it hanging around getting in the way. I would prefer a foreign buyer that is willing to relocate this manure spreader out of the country. I would be willing to trade this manure spreader for a nicely framed copy of the United States Constitution.

Location: Washington , D.C.

PostingID: 2834218719

Thanks to my brother-in-law for sending this email to me.

If you voted for Barack Obama in 2008 to prove you're not a racist, you need to vote for anyone else in 2012 to prove you're not an idiot.

President Obama Suggests SCOTUS "Activist"

President Obama has said that it would be "activist" for the United States Supreme Court to find ObamaCare unconstitutional. He knows that conservatives dislike activist supreme court justices. He is trying to flip the definition on its head. The Supreme Court is supposed to provide checks and balances on the other two branches and vice-versa. President Obama knows that; he is demagogue-ing his head off.

The Constitution of the United States is still the official specification for the US government; the binding contract between the United States and We the People: Any regime that distorts or disregards it is untrustworthy and dangerous.

Obama noted that for years, conservatives had been arguing that the "unelected" Supreme Court should not adopt an activist approach by making rather than interpreting law, and held up the health legislation as an example. (Continue reading...)

For Emperor Algae Solyndra to suggest that the Supreme Court would be “activist” to declare a law unconstitutional when said law violates the most basic constitutional principles is ludicrous on its face. But a nation of unprincipled* voters, who would elect a poseur such as Barackula Hussein Ogabe would have no understanding of that. They would believe The One. Dangerous times indeed.

*Unprincipled doesn’t mean unscrupulous. An unprincipled person is simply someone who doesn’t understand how something is supposed to work. It would be like automobile drivers who don’t know the rules of the road. They’re a menace to everybody – including the ones who do understand the principles.

IJ on the Individual Mandate

Institute of Justice constitutional law professor Elizabeth Price Foley, explains how Obamacare threatens centuries of Anglo-American contract law, and essentially gives the government tyrannical power over what agreements we may, may not, or must enter into.

The Supreme Court must strike down Obamacare, or it's the end of the line for individual liberty in this country. Read more...

Wait For It: Single Payer Health Care

This is the tactic: The Obama administration tries to force Catholics and other groups to adopt mandates against their principles, protected under the First Amendment. These groups rebel. The Regime backs down. Finally, The Regime says, "We've tried, we've really tried to implement this health care bill, but now we see it's impossible, on First Amendment grounds. Therefore, the only way it will work is if we go to single payer government insurance."

See if they don't. I'm surprised I haven't heard anyone talking about this. I'm sure it would have gone easier for The Regime if everyone would just go quietly down The Road to Serfdom, but government monopoly is the logical alternative if we don't. Evidently, diversity is only a Good ThingTM when it doesn't apply to economics.

Political Moneyball: The Conservative Strategy for Winning the Fight Coming After the Election

Kurt Schlichter, writing over at Andrew Breitbart's Big Government provides this advice to the tea parties:

The GOP Establishment we keep hearing about is real, and it is also doomed. That will not change whether the Establishment’s candidate Mitt Romney wins in November or not. After the election, the battle really starts; what is happening now are just skirmishes in a fight for control of the Republican Party. Not the soul of the party – if it had one, it auctioned it off long ago – but the mechanism of the party. The Grand Old Party matters only as a vehicle to carry our banner forward.

To do that, we need to seize control, and we do that by destroying the Establishment starting next November 7th. (Continue reading...)

This reminds me of what Dick Armey and Matt Kibbe said about the tea parties several years ago in a Wall Street Journal editorial, A Tea Party Manifesto: "The movement is not seeking a junior partnership with the Republican Party. It is aiming for a hostile takeover."

Restoring the US Government to constitutional fidelity will not be an overnight process. It is the long game.

Thanks to Dave and Maddie for sharing the Breitbart article.

Donald Trump is a B-B-Birther!

Donald Trump has been raising questions about Baraq Obama's birth certificate. As much as I think Donald Trump would be a disaster as president (although probably less of one than Baraq Obama), he can certainly stir the pot, which might be his only actual goal anyway. He may be acting as a foil to draw fire away from other more traditional parties (e.g., the Republican party and it's candidates). That would be a great public service.

Why would Baraq Obama allow this controversy to simmer? Because it benefits him. It divides his adversaries. Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh won't touch this. Most tea partiers do question Obama's credentials however. And it is a huge precedent in the 'progressive' War on The US Constitution. Once we've had a president who doesn't meet the basic eligibility requirements as set forth in The Constitution, what are We the People going to do about it? Probably nothing (chip, chip). Can we plug the hole after the dam starts to leak? Maybe, maybe not.

On the other hand, let's say that Baraq Obama does have valid papers, and he does meet the constitutional requirements to be president. Then, when this issue reaches a fever pitch, and at a critical time in his re-election campaign, Baraq Obama simply waves out the required documentation with a grand flourish, and everyone who questioned his legitimacy instantly looks like an idiot, and the election of 2012 is history.

It's a win-win for Baraq Obama, and a lose-lose for We the People, for whom the integrity of the US Constitution remains our only protection against tyranny.

The Current Regime is Giving Kakistocracy a Bad Name

In a well-choreographed move, Obama and the Democrats have managed to not pass a budget while simultaneously spending us into oblivion. Spending us into oblivion is a deliberate scheme invented by Cloward and Piven, to collapse the current free market, capitalist, constitutional system, in order to usher in full-blown socialism, thus relegating large segments of the population to degrading government dependency and zero productivity.

Now that the Republicans are insisting on a responsible budget, the Democrats are attempting to blame their self-induced government shutdown on the Republicans. They know full well that a government shutdown will anger a lot of people. They know that congress will continue to be paid, while military families will not. They know that even conservative or pro-military people will be angry at the Republicans, if the Democrats can shift the blame.

Now, I'm usually not a big fan of Democrats or Republicans. But in this case, the Republicans are doing the hard thing, the politically risky thing, the right thing, despite the Democrat setup. Oh, and one other thing: it was a 2010 election promise.

You have to love Michele Bachmann, who has pledged to donate her congressional salary to the military for the duration of any government shutdown. Democrats, take note: Michele Bachmann is what a true leader looks like. It's easy when you follow the Constitution.

Update: I know that some people are disappointed that the Republicans "caved" with the budget compromise. I am too, up to a point. But "Tea Party" Republicans moved the needle in the right direction.

“We control one half of one third of the government,” Darrel Issa, a California Republican told reporters. “We don’t mandate anything.”

Here's a play-by-play of what went down over the last month or so of negotiations.

'Progressives' have been relentlessly attacking our founding principles and the American form of government for 100 years. People are just waking up to that fact, and we're not going to fix it in one session of congress. Slow and steady wins the race. We won't make any significant progress until we re-acquaint the majority of our population with the founding principles of the American form of government. The government-run, union-run public schools have a gigantic conflict of interest when it comes to liberty and equal justice under the law. Repairing the education system in this country must be our first priority. The sooner we get started, the better. Because we won't see any significant improvement for a generation after that.

Kakistocrats? No, Saboteurs and Enablers

When I first created this blog in February 2009, I worried that the word kakistocracy (n., pl. -cies. Government by the least qualified or least principled citizens. [Greek kakistos, worst, superlative of kakos, bad; -cracy, government, regime]), might be a little too extreme, too over-the-top.

Looking back over the past two years, now I'm not convinced that "kakistocracy" even begins to describe the situation, what with unprincipled 'progressives', and uncourageous conservatives -- at all levels of government, topped off with a malicious administration. We don't have leaders, we have saboteurs and enablers. Given all that, rage seems like the only rational response.

Oath of Office

In the midst of all of the impertinent campaign rhetoric, and all of the irrelevant campaign promises, there is really only one question that all candidates must answer to everyone's satisfaction: "If elected, you will be required to take an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. What do you think that means?"

The Constitution is not some obsolete relic from a bygone era. The Constitution is the current, official specification for the US Government. It is the binding contract between the US Government and We the People. Any regime that distorts or disregards the Constitution is untrustworthy and dangerous. If their oath of office is a lie, how can we trust them with our liberty?

So George W. Bush is an Idiot?

From an email circulating on the internet:
  • If George W. Bush had been the first President to need a teleprompter installed to be able to get through a press conference, would you have laughed and said this is more proof of how inept he is on his own and is really controlled by smarter men behind the scenes?
  • If George W. Bush had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to take Laura Bush to a play in NYC, would you have approved?
  • If George W. Bush had reduced your retirement plan's holdings of GM stock by 90% and given the unions a majority stake in GM, would you have approved?
  • If George W. Bush had made a joke at the expense of the Special Olympics, would you have approved?
  • If George W. Bush had given Gordon Brown a set of inexpensive and incorrectly formatted DVDs, when Gordon Brown had given him a thoughtful and historically significant gift, would you have approved?
  • If George W. Bush had given the Queen of England an iPod containing videos of his speeches, would you have thought this embarrassingly narcissistic and tacky?
  • If George W. Bush had bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia , would you have approved?
  • If George W. Bush had visited Austria and made reference to the non-existent "Austrian language", would you have brushed it off as a minor slip?
  • If George W. Bush had filled his cabinet and circle of advisers with people who cannot seem to keep current in their income taxes, would you have approved?
  • If George W. Bush had been so Spanish illiterate as to refer to "Cinco de Cuatro" in front of the Mexican ambassador when it was the 5th of May (Cinco de Mayo), and continued to flub it when he tried again, would you have winced in embarrassment?
  • If George W. Bush had mis-spelled the word "advice" would you have hammered him for it for years like Dan Quayle and potatoe as proof of what a dunce he is?
  • If George W. Bush had burned 9,000 gallons of jet fuel to go plant a single tree on Earth Day, would you have concluded he's a hypocrite?
  • If George W. Bush's administration had okayed Air Force One flying low over millions of people followed by a jet fighter in downtown Manhattan causing widespread panic, would you have wondered whether they actually get what happened on 9-11?
  • If George W. Bush had failed to send relief aid to flood victims throughout the Midwest with more people killed or made homeless than in New Orleans, would you want it made into a major ongoing political issue with claims of racism and incompetence?
  • If George W. Bush had created the position 32 or more Czars who report directly to him, bypassing the House and Senate on much of what is happening in America, would you have approved?
  • If George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved?
  • If George W. Bush had proposed to double the national debt, which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate, in one year, would you have approved?
  • If George W. Bush had then proposed to double the debt again within 10 years, would you have approved? If George W. Bush had spent more than all the Presidents combined since George Washington, would you have approved?
So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive? Can't think of anything? Don't worry. He's done all this in 10 months -- so you'll have 3 years and 2 months to come up with an answer.

I searched Snopes and Googled this email, but found no concrete references. I found similar content posted on another blog, where one commenter suggested snopesing before posting, with the implication that there were factual errors, but they made no specific citations. I think they were blowing smoke. -- KU

Happy New Year Everyone!

The year 2009 has certainly been a year. A very wise man once told me "the opposite of joy isn't sorrow; the opposite of joy is fear". I have never been more fearful for my liberty, and my children's liberty, than I have in 2009. I thought the same thing in 2008, and in 2007. So here's hoping we have some real Hope and Change in 2010.

My resolution for this year is to rage against the kakistocracy, and attempt to convince everyone that I can, not to vote as stupidly as they did in 2006, and especially not as stupidly as they did in 2008, and to kick some Republican keister for giving us such horrible choices in those elections.

We have a lot of work ahead of us. Even if we were to replace every statist with a constitutionalist, we still have much damage to repair, dating all the way back to the early 1900s. It is unfeasible and inhumane just to repeal everything and start over. Please consider my Limited Government Amendment as one possible solution.

Rage against the kakistocracy in 2010!

Sincerely,
Karl Uppiano

Executive Order Amended to Immunize INTERPOL In America

While we were all distracted with health care (which itself is the worst assault on our liberty in decades), Barack Obama has signed an executive order giving INTERPOL, the international police, immunity from our own constitutional protections. At what point are We the People going to rise up and remove this man from office?

When I vociferously and feverishly opposed his bid for president, much to my friends' and relatives' annoyance, I thought he would be a liberal president, perhaps a bad president -- like Carter and Clinton -- although I had misgivings about how bad. Based on what I have seen so far, I think consummate evil is a better description.
For Immediate Release December 17, 2009
Executive Order -- Amending Executive Order 12425
EXECUTIVE ORDER
- - - - - - -
AMENDING EXECUTIVE ORDER 12425 DESIGNATING INTERPOL
AS A PUBLIC INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION ENTITLED TO
ENJOY CERTAIN PRIVILEGES, EXEMPTIONS, AND IMMUNITIES

By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including section 1 of the International Organizations Immunities Act (22 U.S.C. 288), and in order to extend the appropriate privileges, exemptions, and immunities to the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), it is hereby ordered that Executive Order 12425 of June 16, 1983, as amended, is further amended by deleting from the first sentence the words "except those provided by Section 2©, Section 3, Section 4, Section 5, and Section 6 of that Act" and the semicolon that immediately precedes them.

BARACK OBAMA

THE WHITE HOUSE,
December 16, 2009.

Let me reiterate: This executive order gives INTERPOL the authority to violate every amendment in the Bill of Rights. Think gun control, free speech (hate speech), global warming agenda, the list goes on. The most immediate reason for this order is to allow the International Criminal Court (ICC) via INTERPOL to try the US Military for war crimes. Excuse me? Is this man really commander-in-chief?

Barack Obama cites INTERPOL acting "in America's interests". Well, whoop-de-frickin-doo! First of all, I've seen what Obama thinks is in America's interests. But ignoring that for a moment, what's to compel them to continue to do so? What guarantees do we have? What limitation of power? And where are our Constitutional rights now? Do you feel even a little bit scared? Is this man living up to his oath to uphold and protect the US Constitution?

Think I'm overreacting? Look up Obama's favorite word, audacity, to calibrate your radar.

Paid for by Organizing for America, a project of the Democratic National Committee -- 430 South Capitol Street SE, Washington, D.C. 20003. This communication is not authorized by any candidate or candidate's committee.
This was my response:
Dear President Obama,

You mean Merry Christmas, don't you? It won't be a Merry Christmas for me this year, since I am watching my liberty, and my kids' liberty be squandered by a bunch of radical "progressives" who want to render the Constitution -- the specification for the US Government, the contract between the US Government and We the People -- inoperative. In so doing, you will also enslave those you claim to want to help the most: The poor and down-trodden. Way to go.

You have spent my kids' allowance, their lunch money, their inheritance, 35 years of future paychecks, and their retirement. Thanks a heap. I hope they'll vote better than we did in the last two elections.

Sincerely,
Karl Uppiano

P.S., I am sending this to my friends.
Out of respect for the office, I left out the epithet that normally follows expressions such as "way to go" and "thanks a heap". It is implied.

Why the Strongarm Tactics?

Why is this health care bill such high stakes? Why the strongarm tactics? Because there is so much money and power involved. The federal government has so overstepped its authority that this is make or break for dictators. If government were less intrusive, politics would be less divisive.

I hope statism fails, and I hope Barack Obama fails on this one. I said I wouldn't use that label anymore, but if Barack Obama succeeds, he is going to ruin us. Mark my words. Hear me now and believe me later.

Senate Actions: Political Malpractice

We are truly living in a kakistocracy. Rage against the kakistocracy. This is more than just "political disagreement" on issues. Can't the tea partiers across this nation file a class action lawsuit against our legislators for political malpractice?

I do hope Barack Obama fails on this health care bill. This is not the way America does things. Americans don't want this. Once lost, liberty is almost impossible to recover. Please don't let them take our liberty, and our children's liberty to make our own health care decisions.

The current health care system has problems because of too much government, not because of insufficient government. Assuming health care reform is the highest priority right now (I believe it isn't), effective reform would be the exact opposite of the plan that statist senators intend to ram down our throats despite growing majority opposition.

Deprecated: I Hope Barack Obama Fails

A kinder, gentler anti-kakistocrat: This is the last article that will carry the label I Hope Barack Obama Fails. As an engineer, when I discover that something is not working, I use negative feedback to correct the error. People were reading this label, and mistaking me for a racist, or being just plain mean-spirited. The new label will read I Hope Statism Fails.

A statist is someone who thinks 545 people in government can provide better solutions to our problems than 300 million individuals (they can in special situations, but only very rarely). A statist is someone who aims to use the force of government to ram their agenda down your throat. A statist is someone who aims to increase the size and scope of government beyond that specified in and authorized by the Constitution -- axiomatically, at the expense of individual liberty.

There are statists in both the Democrat and Republican parties. The only difference is in the nature of the agenda that they aim to ram down our throats. Barack Obama is a particularly radical and virulent statist, but he is not the only one, so the old label was way too specific. My goal is to have all statists fail, not just Barack Obama.
The policy of the American government is to leave their citizens free, neither restraining nor aiding them in their pursuits. -- Thomas Jefferson
In the interest of historical and archival integrity, I will not change the existing articles festooned with the old label. But new articles will use the new label.
