Free Country

What does it mean to live in a free country? Does anybody remember? Does the next generation have any idea?
The policy of the American government is to leave their citizens free, neither restraining nor aiding them in their pursuits. ~ Thomas Jefferson to M. L'Hommande, 1787.
We are citizens to be free, not subjects to be managed.

  1. This should probably be posted above all our desks. We have become so used to not thinking this way.
    Thanks for the reminder!!!

  2. You mention that we are "managed." Boy that hit a cord with me.
That is exactly what they are doing.
With the computer revolution the government now has the ability to "manage" us in everything we do and this has dramatically changed the role of government.

In addition, the state of Washington has a law that says that the state actually owns all wildlife. Who knows about that law? Nobody. You might think you own the land but in reality the government believes wildlife owns that land as their home.

Thus the government now owns your land...and must "manage" and control you--- not as a citizen but as a irresponsible creature.
